Ethics & Fact-check Policy

Accuracy

We publish only what we can attribute. Stories name their sources wherever safe to do so. When we are unsure, we say so using the Developing or Unconfirmed seal.

Independence

Editors decide what is published. Advertising and sponsored content are always labelled and never influence coverage.

Attribution of other outlets

Items from other publishers appear as a headline, a short summary and a clear link to the original. We do not copy full articles or images without permission.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix it, add a visible note to the story and list it on our corrections page.

Sources and safety

We protect confidential sources and do not publish material that incites violence or targets private individuals.
